DZN TV NEWS: Using a fringe legal theory that many lower courts have categorically rejected, President Donald Trump's administration filed a series of emergency applications with the Supreme Court on Thursday, requesting permission to proceed with plans to terminate birthright citizenship.
In a series of emergency appeals, the Trump administration asked the justices to limit the scope of the controversial policy, arguing that lower courts had gone too far in issuing nationwide injunctions to halt it.
